For this memorial to the life and times of General Robert E Lee, extensive use was made of the, then new, miniaturised Articulate System. This was developed to provide maximum flexibility of display lighting options actually on site, and further to accommodate plenty of scope for readjustment in the future should exhibits be changed. Heights and angles of fixture bracketry can be readily varied to suit the disposition and size of each artifact, with components that thread, lock and otherwise inter-connect together. A range of miniature recessed adjustable eyeball fixtures were also developed, together with a new mirrored baffle system for use with bare fibre. |
Further diffusion and spotlighting techniques were employed here for both close-up and standard case illumination. The Articulate System presents itself as a physical reality which does not detract from the displayed artefacts - somehow, the two work together in partnership. |
