About

This component connects to the mains power supply and provides a single source of light for multiple fibre light guides. It is the most determining element of intensity in any fibre optic lighting system. By the inclusion of ancillary components, such as dimming or colour change elements, each unit can be tailored to generate a variety of lighting techniques.

Light source specification is determined by each given application. As the most determining element of intensity in any fibre optic lighting system, selection of the light source most appropriate for the designated performance requirement is the first critical choice to be made.

Absolute Action manufactures a comprehensive range of light sources to make such selection straightforward and easily identifiable. These are included in the company's trademarked Spectralux range, and all feature components of the highest operating durability.

Locating the light source may be critical to the performance and maintainability of a fibre optic lighting system, and advice in this respect should be sought when necessary from the company's experienced Project Engineers.

Spectralux 3B (LED)

As well as its primary function in the Bedhead Reading Light System, the light output from this unit makes it ideal for low intensity applications such as conservation lighting and other
domestic use.

Spectralux 6000-40 (LED)

Light output and quality are ideal for all conservation applications, most specifically for the illumination of lightsensitive exhibits in museums, libraries and archives. The Spectralux 6000-40 is compatible with all existing industry standard Glass and PMMA fibre systems.

Spectralux 6000 range 150W (Metal Halide)

Designed for commercial and industrial applications where
low maintenance combined with higher intensity light
output is required.

8000 (1).jpg

Spectralux 8000 range 250W (Metal Halide)

A high performance system matches 50w tungsten halogen
lamps at output in performance and price, with all the
ongoing savings associated with low energy consumption,
a long maintenance cycle and ease of accessibility.
